Going back to my earliest memory from birth, my mother has always been a beauty maker. Someone who has transformed the way a client sees himself or herself when they leave her chair. With over 25 years in the beauty industry, you could say she has mastered her approach on hair and makeup with continuously evolving. My mother’s years of training have brought her recognition as a freelance artist and entrepreneur in the entertainment genres of TV, Film, Editorial, and Runway. This is never-ending industry of creation that always circles back to the beginning of fashion.
When I was 7 years young, my mom had put in her second storefront salon. She was at place of marketing her brand with photo shoots that were being published in beauty magazines. Going through this process, you learn a lot about skin, lighting, and what’s needed for that winning image. For the camera, artists often use theatrical makeup because of the outcome in pictures. The challenge is either having to sacrifice healthy skin for harsh products that do the job OR putting healthy products on your skin and getting a washed out look. The same goes for hair products, the ingredients are everything! There were many other factors that ruled out professional products including the fact that my mom and many others today have very sensitive skin. It became difficult to apply different brands of makeup because even touching them would give her an allergic reaction. We were limited with options!
Years of brainstorming a magic formula, Je Beau International was created. Our hair care and cosmetics work great on and off camera without the harsh results.  Our products represent class and elegance keeping Old Hollywood alive!
I entered this project at age 9, helping my mom with the creative department. Colors, scents, packaging, names, and all the other fun stuff! I jumped on board with Je Beau International professionally and unknowingly at the age of 12. I had begged my mother to allow me to model at one of her magazine shoots. Having my first real modeling experience, I fell in love with the camera! I felt like I had won the lottery when the creative directors of the shoot chose my pictures to send into magazines for publication. They were also put on display at my mothers boutique salon, how surreal! From that shoot on, I had become the face of Je Beau International. I went on to complete an apprenticeship under my mother learning from her talented team. Studying both hair and makeup, led me to my professional license. I have watched my mom since I was old enough to hold my own head up, you could say the creativity is in my nature. At the age of 19, I relocated to Los Angeles carrying my moms vision of beauty and Old Hollywood to the West Coast. The journey continues...
